How to Clean White Garden Rocks
If the white rocks in your garden are dirty, you can make them look much better by cleaning them. Once you clean them, they will be shiny and look new again. It takes a few days to get them looking new again, and can be done a few steps.
Supplies
- Gallon bucket
- Rubber gloves
- Laundry detergent
- Bleach
- Toothbrush
- Denture cleaner
- Pressure washer
- Old clothes
- Put the garden rocks in a bucket of water and let them soak for 24 hours. Remove the rocks and take them outside. Wash the rocks using a pressure washer. Make sure you remove all dirt from the rocks. Lay the rocks in the sun and let them completely dry.
- Fill your bathtub full of water and put the rocks in it. Put on rubber gloves and old clothes. Put ¼ cup of bleach in the water, as well as 1 cap full of liquid laundry detergent. Swish the water around to mix the bleach and detergent together. Let the garden rocks sit in the mixture overnight. Keep children and pets away from the bathtub.
- Remove the rocks from the bathtub and let them completely dry. Put some denture cleaner on an old toothbrush and scrub the rocks with it. This will polish the rocks, as well as remove any remaining dirt. The garden rocks should now be white again and looking new. If they are not, repeat the process again until they look polished and new. It will usually take one time, but if the rocks are extremely dirty you may have to wash them a few times before they will look white again.
