Remove the crust from a piece of bread.
Roll the white part of the bread into a ball until it becomes doughy.
Rub the doughy ball gently over the entire surface of the painting. Use gentle strokes to avoid damaging the painting. The ball will attract any grime and dirt on the surface of the oil painting.
Use a new piece of bread and roll it into a ball if the pieces of dough balls become too dirty.
Gently brush off any remaining crumbs using a soft bristle toothbrush.
