How to Compare Complete Auto Detailing Services

Most auto owners love to see their car clean, but they seldom get it clean in the manner they want to unless they use an auto detailer. An auto detailer, clean every nick and cranny on the vehicle and can get to those hard to reach place.  The market has a plethora of auto detailers, but how do you compare auto detailers?

  1. Ask for referrals from your family, friends and office mates. They may have used a company or individual in the past and can provide this information.

  2. Compare the detailer not only on the cost of service, but the quality of the service rendered.

  3. Ask the auto detailer if they offer clay bars, polishing and waxing as part of their regular service. Some detailers offer a package deal and include these techniques as part of the package deal while others do not. Using clay bar is very important because it provides a clean and shine exterior prior to the polishing process. This technique also ensures that your car exterior retain its shiny appearance for a long time.

  4. Ask the detailer you interested in using whether they use a hot water extractor to clean the carpet and fabric interiors. Carpet and fabric interiors will look and feel better if your detailer uses a hot water extractor on the interior. A hot water extractor reaches deep down into the interior fabric of the car because of its high temperature and removes dirt and debris embedded in the material. It reaches dirt and grime that a regular shampooer and vacuum misses.

  5. Inquire if the auto detailer uses a machine for all detailed services or whether they use human to do the some aspect of the service. There are advantages to using both a detailer and a machine. A detailer that uses a machine will provide quicker service than a company who does it by hand. The difference between the two, the individual can check to see if they overlooked a spot and the machine cannot.

  6. Check if the auto detailer provides any kind of warranty. If you find a detailing service that refuses to give any kind of service warranty, and one who offers a warranty, select the one that offers you a warranty.
