How to Compare Cruise Ships

There are many types of cruise ships and many different reasons to spend a vacation on one. However, you need to compare cruise ships in order to know which one is right for you. For instance, do you have kids? If so, a Disney cruise is sure to be a winner, but if you are going on a honeymoon cruise you may want to choose one that has less kids and more romance.

  1. Go to several cruise ship
official sites and look at the various size ships, as well as the themes. In addition, see what is included in the cruise.  For instance, where the ship docks or how long the cruise is.  Check
if the site offers a layout of the ship. Keep in mind that everyone
aboard the ship is also on vacation, so the entire ship is not just
for you and your sweetheart or your family.  That is an important thing to keep in mind.

  2. Use an online tool that allows you search criteria such as “romantic cruise” or
“kid-friendly” to help narrow down your search. You can even put
in your price range of what you want to spend on your cruise.

  3. Select a smaller cruise ship if
you are looking to relax with lots of luxury, but choose a larger
ship if you want more activities like gambling, spas, and
    entertainment.

  4. Keep in mind the more specific you
are in your search, the better the results will be. Also,
remember that booking a cruise during the off-season months can save
you a great deal of money. Everyone wants a cruise in the summer,
but if you do not have children you could save some money
    and book during the off-season.

  5. Compare the cabin size layouts by learning the exact sizes of various cabins. You need to
have a cabin that you have enough room and feel comfortable,
otherwise is can affect the entire cruise. Therefore, it is wise to
take the time to compare cabin sizes as opposed to taking what's included in the cruise “special promotion”,  which sometimes is smallest cabins. Taking the time to compare
everything about cruise ships before you book your trip can save you
    time, frustration, and money.
