How to Convert MySpace Video to MP3

The use of social media has become a common occurrence.  Websites such as Myspace, Facebook, and Youtube are filled with video files that can be easily downloaded.  But what if you just want the audio?  Software applications make it possible to do just that with just a few simple steps.

Social media has become an important marketing tool, and users employ many different formats.  Converting videos to MP3 format allows the user to add content to an MP3 player.  End users often find that it is easier to locate videos of their favorite songs, than MP3 files themselves.  This fact has created a need to convert the video files into audio files.  There are many software programs that can perform this conversion, but some of them are quite expensive.  Fortunately, there is freeware available to the end user that is easy to navigate and use.

  1. Visit the Myspace website, which contains the desired video.  Copy the video URL by using the “ctrl” + “C” keyboard shortcut.

  2. Locate a free conversion site that will convert the video to MP3 player format.  Mediaconverter.com is a viable option.  Visit their site, and on the right side of the page, paste the copied link into the box that says “conversion wizard”.

  3. Select the desired file format, which will be MP3 in this particular example, and then begin the file conversion.  This particular site allows for five file conversions per day from one particular IP address.

  4. Save the converted file to your computer once the site has completed the conversion process.  Depending on the file size, the process should take a few minutes.

  5. Enjoy your downloaded MP3 file however you would like.
