How to Create Photo Greeting Card for Free
Purchasing greeting cards for all of your family and friends can become extremely expensive. Sometimes, the cards that you find do not fit your personal style at all. It is pretty simple and cheap to create your own greeting card to send to the people that you love.
Materials needed:
- Digital camera
- Adobe Photoshop
Using a digital camera, take a picture of whatever you would like to be on the cover of your greeting card. Make sure that the pictures that the camera takes are of good quality. You do not want the picture on the front of the card to look bad.
Open up Photoshop. Customize and clean up the picture however you would like to. When you are finished changing and tweaking the picture, you can put the text on the design.
Click on the text tool in Photoshop. Write the greeting that you would like to put on your card. You can select the right font style, placement, and color of your text as you would like it to be on the picture.
Save the completed picture design as a .PNG or .JPEG file in the folder that you would like. This is going to make it easier to find when you are ready to make your card.
Go to Smilebox to make your photo greeting card. Download the free editing program and software.
Open up the program and pick out a template for the greeting card. Smilebox has a lot of different templates for every type of occasion. Select the template that you would like to use for your card.
Open up the folder that you have saved your picture to. Click on your picture. Drag the picture on the design in the Smilebox program. You can add music and a caption to your greeting card if you would like.
Print your card out and send it or email it to your family and friends.
