How to Create a High School Diploma

When creating high school diplomas for an upcoming high school graduating class you should ensure that you have adequate software and supplies for such a large-scale order. Even small town high school graduating classes generally consist of 300 or more students.

Materials:

  • 8-by-10 inch cardstock paper

  • Rubber stamp of school seal

  • Embossing solution

  • Embossing machine

  • Computer with Microsoft Word installed

  1. Place your cardstock paper into your printer.

  2. Launch your word processing program by selecting "Start" and then scrolling up to "All Programs." Select Microsoft Office and then scroll over to Microsoft Word.

  3. Download a diploma template from the Microsoft Download Center. Type "diploma template" into the search box and hit ENTER. Select your preferred diploma from the templates available.

  4. Change the wording on the template to reflect the wording agreed upon by you and the school official that hired you for the project. Use the font that was selected by the school official.

  5. Add the name of the first graduating student on the list of graduating high school seniors to the diploma. Adjust the font size if necessary by selecting "Font" found under the Format Menu. Select the font size that is appropriate.

  6. Print the created high school diploma. Select "Print" found under the File Menu.

  7. Lay the high school diploma on your worktable and wait for the ink to dry completely.

  8. Load the embossing solution onto the rubber stamp of the school seal. Load the high school diploma into the embossing machine and close the lid. Wait the appropriate amount of time designated by embossing machine instructions.

  9. Repeat steps 1 through 8 for each high school diploma you are required to create.
