How to Customize Girls Clothing

Girls clothing can easily be customized to give it a unique and interesting look.  To get this look add elements like rhinestones and embroidery.  Fabric paint and t-shirt transfers can be used as well to make clothing more attractive to wear.

• Add rhinestones to clothing items.  Rhinestones can be placed all over clothes or in a pattern to create a design or picture.  Choose a variety of rhinestones in different colors to add a unique and interesting look to the clothing.


• Use fabric paint to add designs on girls clothing.  Fabric paint can be used to paint an overall design on clothes or to paint a scene.  Look for stencils to use with fabric paint if you want a clean look or a specific design.  Be careful when using fabric paint though and work out your design beforehand because paint will not be able to be removed once it is placed on fabric.


• Add embroidery elements to girls clothing for a high quality customized look.  Use an embroidery machine to add elements directly on the fabric or sew fabrics that contain embroidery onto clothing items.  Embroidery also can be added by hand by using embroidery thread and a needle if you want a look that is more unique.


• Purchase printable t-shirt transfers to add pictures and designs to clothing.  These transfers can be used with your inkjet printer ant home allowing you to print designs that you have created on your computer.  After the graphics have been printed they can be placed on clothing items by using a hot iron.


• Add fabric to jeans and other denim clothing items.  This can easily be done by cutting out fabric and sewing it onto jeans by hand or with a sewing machine.  This customization is best used on pocket areas and the bottom portion of the jeans so that fabric does not constrict movement.
