How to Customize Indoor Soccer Shoes
Customizing your indoor soccer shoes is a great way to stand out during the game, as well as tell your shoes apart from other soccer shoes. Customizing your soccer shoes is easy to do and only requires a few craft supplies.
Items Needed
- Shoelaces
- Fabric paint
- Paint brush
- Stencils
Customizing
- Create a picture in your mind of how you would like your shoes to look. You may wish to paint them in your team's colors, make them sparkle or draw different designs on them.
- Prepare the shoes for painting by removing the shoelaces and stuffing the shoes with newspaper or tissue paper.
- Use fabric paint and a paint brush to paint the shoes in your chosen color. You may wish to paint the tongue the same color, or choose a different color. If you want your shoes to sparkle, choose a fabric paint that has glitter in it.
- Allow the painted shoes to dry completely before you draw any designs on them. If the color is not as bright as you anticipated, you may wish to apply a second coat of paint to the shoes.
- Use a stencil to trace the number of your jersey on the back or sides or your shoes. You can use a black or different colored permanent marker to trace the number, and use a different color of paint or permanent marker to fill the numbers in.
- Add any other designs or embellishments that you wish to the shoes. Whether you draw soccer balls on the tongues, attach a few decorative rhinestones or write an inspirational soccer quote around the shoe, you can make these soccer shoes as unique as you desire.
- Spray the shoes with a protective spray, which you can find at a craft or hardware store.
- Remove the newspapers from the shoes, and replace the old shoelaces with new, colorful laces.
