How to Customize Return Address Labels

Customizing return address labels from your computer can be easier than having to handwrite the return address for each envelope being mailed. By using a word application, such as Microsoft Word, you will be able to change the font style and color to anything you like.

Customize Labels Using Microsoft Word

  1. Open a new Microsoft Word document to begin making the return address labels.

  2. Click on the Mailings tab that is located on the top of the screen of your document page.

  3. Click on Labels to open up a new dialogue box.

  4. Click on the options button in the dialogue box to choose an existing template. Choose new label if you want to completely customize a label to the size you need. Click OK after you have finished.

  5. Type the return address in the Address box.

  6. Format the text in the Address box by highlighting the text first. Right click with mouse and choose the font, color and other effects to the text that you would like to use. Click OK.

  7. Choose Full Page of the Same Label to create a full page of the customized labels you made. Choose New Document and your current document will have your labels ready for printing.
