How to Cut PVC Corrugated Roofing

PVC corrugated roofing will allow the beauty of natural light to pass through the surface of the roof. This in turn will brighten the area that is covered by the PVC corrugated roofing. Cutting these roof panels is a slightly different process than cutting its metal counterpart.

What You'll Need:

  • Sheet of PVC corrugated roofing

  • Work table

  • Measuring tape

  • Permanent marker

  • Framing square

  • Safety glasses

  • Particulate respirator

  • Abrasive circular saw blade

  • Circular saw

  1. Put the sheet of PVC corrugated roofing that you intend to cut flat on the surface of the worktable or another flat and sturdy surface.

  2. Stretch the measuring tape along one side of the sheet of PVC corrugated roofing. You’ll need to mark the desired cut length near the side of the corrugated sheet.

  3. Allow the short leg framing square to rest on a single side of the corrugated sheet. You’ll need to align the long arm of the framing square along with the length mark that you previously placed on the surface of the corrugated sheet.

  4. Using a permanent marker, drag the permanent marker along the entire edge of the long arm of the framing square. If done correctly, it should create a cut line on the surface of the corrugated sheet.

  5. Before moving on, ensure that you put on your safety glasses as well as a particulate respirator.

  6. Connect the abrasive circular saw blade onto the circular saw. Ensure that it is secure before moving on to the next step.

  7. Begin cutting along the cut line you previously placed onto the surface of the PVC corrugated sheet using an abrasive cutting blade to cut the PVC sheet to your desired length.
