How to Decorate White Cupcake Boxes

Decorating a cupcake box is an extension of what is inside. Keep the outside decorations minimal yet stunning, so that they reflect the theme of the event. Use your imagination and use unexpected elements to surprise guests with a beautifully wrapped treat.

White cupcake boxes are very much like a blank canvas; this is a place for you to extend your artistry beyond baking and into an impressively presented treat. A great way to create a stunning box is to use fresh herbs and ribbon.

Supplies

  • Hot glue gun

  • 1/8 inch wide ribbon in two to three colors

  • Stems of lavender or other suitable plants

  • White cupcake box

  • Pencil

  • Hole punch

Directions

  1. Draw guidelines with your pencil to create stripes on the box.

  2. Squeeze small dots of hot glue along the lines.

  3. Lay ribbon down along glue dots and allow cooling.

  4. Punch holes in the closure of the box.

  5. Thread ribbon through the holes and tie lavender into the bows or in a loose knot allowing ribbon to dangle.

Keep your decorations simple yet imaginative, look to nature to find inspiration and interesting elements to add to your box. Let the seasons inspire you. If fresh items are unavailable, consider silk alternatives. To create memorable boxes, keep the decorations simple and with fewer elements. You do not want to over decorate the boxes

Have fun with the design but do not over think it, adding too many elements on such a small box can ruin the look of it.
