How to Decorate Banquet Halls for the Holidays

How to Design Banquet Halls Layouts

If you can create a quality banquet hall, you will find a revenue steam that will be in demand throughout the entire year. Creating a banquet hall does not have to be difficult. With the right planning, you can create a hall that will suit the needs of any group.

Consider these layouts for your banquet hall so that you will have an appropriate setup for any occasion:

Lectures- Tables should be placed so that they create a horseshoe around the room if the room is smaller. If it is larger, place them in lines across the room facing forward. This will give everyone a good view of the speaker and will give the speaker room to move around freely.

Dinners- A dinner layout should have all tables grouped together to one side of the room. This allows diners to sit together and easily talk to one another. Keep the food as far away from the diners as possible and keep the food tables close to a door so that food and drink can flow freely from the kitchen.

Awards- This setup combines certain elements of both a lecture and dinner setup. Most awards ceremonies will have food, so you will need tables to be grouped like they would be for a dinner layout. However, you will need a head table or a lectern for a speaker to talk from. So, tables must be close to the front of the room where the awards will be given and the speaker will be speaking.
