How to Design Your Own Soccer Shirts

Soccer jerseys, or shirts, are worn by soccer players when they play soccer. How you design a soccer jersey mainly depends on what it will be used for.  A jersey designed for a soccer team might need to include the teams sponsor. You may be able to get a little more creative with a practice jersey.

• Ask the person sponsoring the team how they would like the jerseys designed. They may already have a company logo and certain colors that they would like to have on the jersey. Their needs will probably need to be met because sponsors often pay for a team’s uniforms.


• Determine what style of jersey you would like. Some soccer jerseys have collars while others have V-necks. If you are playing on a team, you might ask everyone what they are comfortable wearing and choose the best option.


• Draw out a logo for the jersey or choose from available logos at the screen printing facility where you are having the jersey put together. You can choose an image that has already been created. You might use a computer program to draw the logo too.


• Come up with the basic colors for the soccer jersey. You might also consider different line patterns that are available that would look good with the logo that you have in mind. Many soccer jerseys only consist of three colors or so.


• Pick a professional soccer team to base your design off of. It might help you to modify something that has already been created instead of coming up with the design for the jersey all on your own.
