How to Design a Logo Umbrella
One of the most important things about advertising is recognition. This is why companies work hard on a logo unique to their company and instantly recognizable. Once they have such an image, they make sure it is incorporated on various corporate items.
Designing your logo:
- You will need to find a good printing company that has success with printing logos and other items onto umbrellas. It may be difficult to find the right company. Many companies print logos on T-shirts, but not all do printing onto umbrellas.
- Work on the creation of your logo. You will want to use larger images, because smaller images will be harder to spot, and even harder to distinguish, from a distance. The logo should ideally be big enough to be read and viewed from a reasonable distance. Otherwise, it is useless to you.
- Once you have designed the logo to your liking, you will need to scan it, or digitize it. If you have hand-designed the logo, you will need to scan it into a format that can be used by the printing company. If you have designed the logo with a computer software program, a digitized logo is already in place and can be used by the printer.
- Make sure that the file is in a format that can be used by the printing company (this is typically files that end with .eps or .tiff extensions), and that the size (in DPI) is large enough once it has been printed.
- Take the artwork to the printer.
- Find the right umbrella for your logo. There are different kinds of umbrellas, made of various fabrics. You want to match your logo with the right umbrella. The umbrellas should be of sufficient quality to compliment your logo.
