How to Download Embroidery Designs
Many types of embroidery machines can be connected to a computer and set up to receive embroidery design transfers. To obtain free embroidery designs and save them on your computer, you can download the designs from a variety of websites.
- Use a search engine such as Yahoo to search for "Free Embroidery Design Downloads" or "Free Embroidery Designs." You can also visit the website of your embroidery machine manufacturer. Manufacturers often provide free designs to machine owners.
- Browse the search results, and click on the ones that interest you. Browse the available designs.
- Minimize the Internet browser window, and right-click on your computer's desktop. Click on the "New" button and choose "Folder" from the dropdown menu. This creates a new folder on your desktop.
- Name the folder "Embroidery Designs" or something similar and easy to identify. This is where you will save all the designs you download.
- Click on the download button to download the design onto your computer. Follow the on-screen instructions to go through the download process.
- Choose a name for your design. Click on the dropdown menu, and choose the "Embroidery Designs" folder you created on your desktop. Click the "Save" button.
- Continue to download as many designs as you want. When you are ready to transfer the designs to your machine, plug the machine into your computer, and download the necessary drivers.
- Open the embroidery machine program, and follow the on-screen instructions to transfer the designs.
