How to Dump Floor Scrubbers

Floor scrubbers are an alternative to clean floors without doing it manually such as mopping by hand. Proper use and knowing how to dump floor scrubbers will ensure that work will continue without downtime and to also keep the environment safe.

  1. Allow yourself some time to read the instructions to get familiar on how the floor scrubber works. The instructions will tell you on how the dirty water is collected while the floor scrubber is in use and how to remove the container when necessary.

  2. Begin to scrub the floors and make sure to keep an eye of where the dirty water fills up in the container. There will be a line on the container showing how much dirty water can be filled in the container without overflow. The water should not go over this line.

  3. Detach the container when it is filled and dump the dirty water in the requested area that your employer or the instructions suggest. If a cleaning solution has been used, make sure to properly dispose of it safely. The dirty water could be dumped into the toilet or in the sewer, but it is best to get the correct information on this if you have no other instructions on this.

  4. Reattach the container back to the machine and continue with the cleaning, repeating the same process to dump the floor scrubbers as done before.

  5. Rinse out the container to make sure that the chemical solution has been cleaned out completely before the next use.
