- If you are planning to change your bathtub you need to decide what type you wish to create. You can choose from a one-piece tub and shower combination, a tub with water jets or a shower stall. Add this to your list of notes that you are taking.
- Decide if you want to change your entire toilet or just upgrade it. Make note of your choice.
- Decide whether you want to upgrade your vanity or replace it with a new one. You may decide that you only need to add another sink to create a convenient dual sink vanity. You may also decide to install a new faucet. Make note of what you want to do here.
- Look at your medicine cabinet and linen closet. Decide if you need to add new shelving, lighting or create more room here and add it to your notes.
- Check your exhaust fan and flooring to see if any of these things need to be replaced. You may have some loose tile or simply want to create a different look here. Linoleum and marble tile are also good upgrades to think about. Decide what you wish to do and make notes of these things as well.
- Sit down at your computer. Go online and look for prices from a home improvement store that is located near you. Write down the price of each of the items that is on your list.
