How to Evict Noisy Tenants

Eviction is a legal procedure that is often used by a landlord when they need to remove a tenant from their property. There are a variety of reasons why a landlord may need to evict a tenant such as the neighbors complaining of noise coming from the premises at all times of day and night.

How to Evict Noisy Tenants

  1. View the tenant's rental agreement and verify there is a noise violation clause.

  2. Write a lease violation notice and have it delivered to the tenant by certified mail. Keep the receipt of the notice with your records to show the tenant was serviced.

  3. Contact an attorney or your local government office to see how long you have to wait before starting a formal eviction process.

  4. Have the other tenants or neighbors to sign written statements detailing the noise problem.

  5. Fill out an eviction form and file the petition in court.

  6. Serve the eviction notice to the tenants by the method specified by the court.

  7. Attend the eviction hearing with supporting documents in hand.
