How to Find Adult Disney Costumes

The Disney characters are known across the world. They are one of the most popular Halloween costumes, for both children and adults. If you are an adult and you wish to be a Disney character for Halloween, it might take some work in order to find the perfect Disney costume. Do not be discouraged, however. There are many options available.

  1. Choose your character. There are a myriad of Disney characters that you can choose from. Decide which character you want to be early on in the planning process. It will likely take some work in order to find the perfect costume and accessories to create your look. Choosing your character as early as possible will ensure that you have enough time to find your costume.

  2. Find a local costume store. Many major costume retailers have a large selection of costumes to choose from. You might just find the costume that you are looking for by visiting your local Halloween shop. If they do not have the costume that you need in stock, inquire about renting the costume from a costume rental company. Most retailers have relationships with rental companies that allow customers to browse a large variety of costumes and rent the one that they like.

  3. Shop online. If you do not have a local costume retailer, your best bet will be to find an online costume supplier. Begin by searching Google. Type in your characters name along with "adult costume" and see what you come up with. You will likely find a wide selection of adult character costumes that suit your needs.

  4. Find the right accessories. If your costume does not come with the necessary accessories to complete your look, browse local craft stores, dollar stores or department stores in order to find the perfect shoes, hair accessories, belts and hats to finish your costume. Do not forget things such as wigs and make up when you are designing your look.

  5. Choose a simple costume. If you are out of time and haven't been able to find your perfect Disney costume, do not despair. Change your plan and draw inspiration from a character who has a simple dress, such as Wendy from Peter Pan. In most cases, you will be able to find a nightgown and slippers and accessorize from there to complete your look.
