Factors to Find the Value of Used Mobile Homes

How to Find Buyers for Used Mobile Homes

The owner of a mobile home can try to find a buyer by advertising locally and online. Some mobile home owners choose to hire a real estate agent to help find a buyer. To arrive at an asking price, it is a good idea for the owner to find the value of the mobile home to use as a guide.

  1. Use a search engine and type “used mobile home values” to help you decide how much to ask a buyer to pay. Go to one of the websites in the search results and find your mobile home. Type in all of the information the website requires in order to generate a valuation report. Bookmark the web page or print the report.

  2. List your mobile home for sale online. Contact a website to find out the cost for an online advertisement. Take some pictures of your mobile home to include with your ad. View some of the ads on the website to get ideas on how to create your listing.

  3. Place an advertisement in the newspaper to find a buyer for your mobile home. Call the classified department to get some help creating your ad. Find out how much the ad costs before you decide how long to run it in the paper.

  4. Work with a real estate agent to sell your mobile home. Contact a local agency and find out if any of the agents specialize in used mobile home listings. Meet with the agent to discuss your mobile home. Find out how much the agent thinks you should ask for the mobile home to help you set the price. Give the agent the valuation report to help decide the listing price.

  5. Place an advertisement in a mobile home park newsletter. If your mobile home is currently in a park, contact the manager to find out how to list it for sale. Ask the manager how much it costs to run an ad. If you do not receive any inquiries after one month, consider cancelling or rewording the ad.
