How to Find Cheap Kitchen Cabinets

With cheap kitchen cabinets you will be able to give your kitchen an entirely new look without breaking the bank. There are some things that you will want to be on the lookout for whenever you begin to shop for them.  It’s important to find the perfect balance between affordability and quality when it comes to purchasing new kitchen cabinets.

• Talk to your local cabinetry shop.  They will have cheap custom made cabinets.  These cabinets may have a small defect in them because apprentices make them. If someone custom orders cabinets these cannot be used. However, they will be discounted and may work for your kitchen.

• Shop around for mass-produced cabinets from big manufacturers.  There are a lot of styles and variations available but you will find that all of them are made from thin wood and doors that are attached with plastic, not metal.  While these are not the highest of quality, they may work perfect for your kitchen and budget.

• Build your own cabinets, but make sure you have the time and the skills necessary.  It will be more affordable to purchase the lumber and hardware, rather than purchase pre-built cabinets.

• Visit thrift shops and garage sales.  This will take a bit of luck but oftentimes you will find that people who have had custom cabinets installed are selling their old ones.  To find them you may have to take a few trips but they do exist if you spend some time looking for them.

• Look online for discount cabinet shops. You can also use websites like eBay and Craigslist. Users may be selling cabinets they have made or replaced within their home.

• Talk to associates at local hardware stores. Ask them specifically for cabinets within your price range. They may be aware of specials they can offer you that are not advertised. They also may be able to offer you a credit card, and upon approval, you will receive a discount. Ask for all discounts and options available.
