How to Find Discount Men's Shoes
As winter approaches, so does the desperate need for warmer shoes. it is also gift-giving season, and many people are shopping on a budget due to the economy. Fortunately, there are several options for those who want to get practical men’s footwear without spending a whole paycheck on a single pair.
- Decide what you want from your shoes. Your options may differ somewhat if you want brand name shoes, or if you just want cheap shoes regardless of brand. If you are willing to go with off-brand shoes, then try one of the big department stores like Walmart or their websites to search for shoes that are in your price range.
- Look for shoe sales on the Internet. Look specifically for websites advertising sales or look for a link advertising special discounts on the front page. Many retail websites have a page that serves as the online equivalent of a bargain bin.
- Use the Internet to compare prices among as wide a selection of merchants as possible. The options are to look at the websites of Internet-only sellers like Amazon.com and 6pm.com, and compare them to prices on the websites of big chain stores like Walmart and Payless. Some shoes from Walmart.com’s line of Brahma work and hiking boots (available with or without steel toes) can be purchased for as little as $20, and in some cases for less than that if they are having a sale.
- Shop at Ebay.com. This does not necessarily mean that you will be buying used shoes, though it can mean that. There are new shoes available on Ebay, some of them with designer brand names.
- Shop at your local thrift store. This may not be your first choice for buying shoes, but it depends on how desperate you are. In many cases, it is possible to pick up a used but still wearable pair for far less than you would pay anywhere else.
