How to Find New Business Listings
Finding a new business listing does not take hiring a private detective or spending long hours in a car burning up gas. It is an easy process and can be done either in the privacy of your home or in the office of the buisness license department, since all businesses must have a business license.
- Call the business license department and ask about viewing the list of new businesses in the area. This list can be made available online for free or it can be viewed on a computer terminal in the business license department office.
- Read through the list of new businesses for any given area that there is an interest in. This is done by looking at local and or city newspapers. In some metropolitan areas, residential neighborhoods may publish a neighborhood newsletter or newspaper that has a listing of all new businesses. The list can be published weekly, a call can be placed to the local, city and or neighborhood newspaper office to find out what day the new list is printed.
- Look at local business publications such as magazines and or newsletters for weekly listings of any new business opening up in the area. It is a good idea to ask if the list is available in an online format, this can make searching for a new business easy and also provide a way of sorting through by business type, service provided or product for sale.
- Purchase a list of new businesses that are local as well as nationwide through a business directory. These directories charge a fee and provide a list of new businesses in their database, that offers listings of the many different types of new industries that are up and running and provides the list by the several cities. The list can be viewed by location as well as the type of business.
