When it comes to getting a divorce you want to make sure that you have someone on your side that is going to get you the best possible outcome. It’s important to have an attorney who will be aggressive and fight for what you deserve. It will not be easy, but putting in the right amount of initiative to find the perfect attorney will be worth it when you go to court.

• Create ways to find the most aggressive lawyer in your area. Ask around to people you know that have had a divorce.  Family members, friends, Internet and the phone book are all good resources. Be sure to do research and examine each attorney closely, what may be right for one person may not be right for you.


• Acquire about how long the lawyer have been in practice. You can do this by asking him or her, or by looking up information about them on the Internet. Most lawyers will have cases under their belt that they can use to prove their experience. Opposed to someone just moving to the state and do not know all the laws for that state or a lawyer with very little experience. It’s best to use a veteran divorce lawyer, as he or she will be aggressive and have complete knowledge of the state laws.
