How to Frame Dance Studio Mirrors

In a dance studio, a wall of mirrors is essential. It is a great learning tool for new dancers. There is not a frame around the mirrors, because they will take up an entire wall. However, if you would like to give the mirrors a framed look you can have them beveled.

  1. Figure out which wall is going to be the wall where the mirrors will be located. Measure the length of this wall. Determine how many mirror panels you are going to need, based on the width of each of the mirror panels.

  2. Allow the company where you bought the mirrors to install your mirrors. Typically, wall mirrors that are going to be placed in a dance studio will be quite large. The mirrors are usually 72 inches by 100 inches. They are very heavy as well. If they are broken by the mirror company, the mirror company will replace them. On the other hand, if you break one you will have to replace it yourself.

  3. Tell the people that are installing the mirrors to center the row of mirrors across the room, so the amount of wall showing will be pretty much the same on either side.

  4. When ordering the mirrors, make sure to have an outer beveled edge if you would like the mirrors to appear framed. Make sure that you only order for the mirrors to be beveled on the edges that are on the outer edges of the mirror, at the top and bottom of the mirror.
