How to Start a Carpet Cleaning Service Step by Step

How to Get Cheap Carpet Cleaning Service

Carpet cleaning is a backbreaking task but one that does need to be done.  Things get spilled on the floor such as grape juice, mud gets tracked in, and salt get trampled in the winter.  But cleaning your carpet doesn’t have to be an expensive task.  There are two choices when it comes to cheap carpet cleaning: hiring someone or doing it yourself.

  1. Examine your carpet first.  This will determine if you need a professional carpet cleaner or if you can do it yourself.  If your carpet has just a stain here and there but otherwise looks fine, you can probably clean it yourself.  But if your entire carpet looks dingy and has many stains, you will more likely need to hire a professional.  There are cheap professionals that do an amazing job cleaning carpets.

  2. Open your local phone book and look in the yellow pages under carpet cleaning or carpet cleaners.  You can also look in your local newspaper under the services section to see if any carpet cleaners are advertising their services.

  3. Perform an online search for “carpet cleaners in (your town).”  This is most likely the best way to locate a cheap carpet cleaner because with the Internet booming, more and more car wash business owners are placing websites online.  What this means is that there is a lot of competition so many companies are offering specials and discounts to stand out from everyone else.

  4. Call a few cleaning companies and ask them a few questions.  Pricing, of course, is important.  Carpet cleaners will charge per meter of carpet they have to clean while other will charge according to how many rooms you want cleaned.  You also need to find out if they move your furniture for you as well as putting it back for you.  This is a service some companies offer.  Make an appointment with the company you think will give you the best service.

  5. Cleaning your own carpet is really the cheapest way to go because all you really need is carpet cleaner and a buffer.
