How to Get Computer Help

If you have a computer, chances are you will need computer help at some point. In order to get computer help, simply ask a friend, look on the Internet, contact the technical support department for your computer or take your computer to a computer repair shop.

• Ask a friend or family member. If you are having a simple computer problem, you may be able to get basic computer help from someone you know.


• Look on the Internet. Do a search about your computer problem. You might be able to find an article that will tell you how to fix the issue. Or, you might find a link to a forum dedicated to computer problems where you can ask about your problem and get computer help.


• Contact the technical support department for the company that made your computer. Most technology companies offer technical support for their products. Go online and navigate to the company website. The website will normally provide a 1800 number you can call for help. Or, the company may offer live chat online with a help desk representative. Choose whichever option makes you feel more comfortable.


• Take your computer to a computer repair shop. Sometimes computer problems are too big for you to fix yourself at home. If you need serious computer help, you might need to take your computer to a repair shop and have a professional help you with it. Try other options first, however, because professional computer repair can be costly.
