How to Get Quotes for CA Health Insurance

If you are a resident of the state of California, you may want to get a variety of quotes before purchasing health insurance. Many companies offer a variety of plans and prices that may or may not fit your needs. It is important to research health insurance companies and compare quotes before picking one plan.

1. Go to the MerchantCircle homepage.


2. Type “Health Insurance Companies” in the first white search box, located at the top left-hand side of the screen.


3. Type your specific city and “California” in the second white search box.


4. Click the blue “Search” button.


5. Review the search results for health insurance companies in your area. Look for companies who have been verified by the MerchantCircle site or companies that have high customer reviews.


6. Click on a company name to get more information.


7. Read the company description to make sure that the company sells health insurance. You may also want to read a variety of customer reviews or see where an office is located in your area.


8. Click on the link to the company’s website. You will be redirected to another webpage.


9. Look for a tab, button or other link titled, “Get a Quote.” Click on this link.


10. Make sure that you have selected the correct link for health insurance.  Many companies also offer auto, home and life insurance in addition to health insurance.


11. Provide the required information including your name, address, phone number, age, email address, weight, height and any health issues you have been diagnosed with by a doctor.


12. Submit the information by clicking on the “Submit” or “Request a Quote” tab.


13. Wait for a representative to contact you. It may take up to 72 hours for a company to contact you. More information may be needed before an actual health insurance quote can be provided. Some companies want to run a brief check-up before determining what health insurance plan you should purchase.


14. Complete this process for several health insurance companies listed on MerchantCircle. You may also work with an independent agent who will take your information and provide you with a variety of quotes from different companies.
