How to Get the Moth Smell Out of Clothes
Mothballs are used in houses for a variety of reason, such as getting rid of mice or solving a flea problem. Many people complain about the smell of moth getting into their clothing. There is a way to get the odor out of clothing, but it will take time and patience.
How to Get the Mothball Smell Out of Clothes
Put some warm water in a bucket and add 1 1/2 cups of white vinegar.
Soak the clothes that do not require dry cleaning in the solution for approximately 30 minutes.
Take the clothes out of the solution and rinse them in warm water.
Put the clothes in the washing machine and wash them as normal. You may need to wash the clothes more than once to completely remove the odor.
Remove the clothes from the washer and lay them outside in the sunshine to dry.
