How to Gift Wrap Using Ribbon

No gift box would be complete without wrapping it with ribbon. Doing something as minor as adding a piece of ribbon to a otherwise plain looking box will greatly enhance the way that it looks and would be something you would be proud to give someone.

The easiest way to decorate a gift box would be to wrap it with ribbon. It is a simple process and would only take a couple of minutes to do.

  1. Choose a ribbon to use that goes well with the type of gift wrap paper you are using. You will need enough ribbon to wrap around the package at least twice. In addition to the amount of ribbon needed to go around the package you will also need enough to make a bow, so you will need to add another 10-inches depending on the size of bow you want.

  2. Hold the ribbon flat on top of the box and let the ends drape down the sides of the box.

  3. Turn the package over while holding the ribbon in place and crisscross the ribbon on the bottom of the box.

  4. Turn the package back over and bring the ends of the ribbon back to the top of the package and tie the ends of the ribbon together to form a knot to hold it in place.

  5. Take the left piece of the ribbon and make a loop and hold it.

  6. Take the right piece of ribbon and wrap it around the loop.

  7. Pull the middle of the right piece of ribbon through the hole that was formed and bring it up over the right end. You have now created the bow.
