How to Hire Limos
When looking for special occasion transportation, you can choose from a variety of vehicle types. Determining your financial situation gives you an idea of what you can spend on your luxury vehicle of choice. Knowing what you need the reservation for and which type of limo you want are important factors to consider as you check off your limo hiring checklist.
- Take a thorough look at your bank account. Most people think hiring a limo is very expensive. However, a night out for a special occasion can wind up cheaper than you realize due to the economy and competition from other limo companies. Other people often chip in for large vehicle rentals which helps to make it more affordable.
- Decide which type of limo you want. If its just you and a date, you may want to consider a sedan limo. Sedan limos contain four seats outfitted for luxury. For bachelor parties, wedding celebrations, prom and other large events, a stretch limo might wind up fitting your needs. Your rental choices include, but are not limited to, regular stretch limousines, Ford Excursions and Hummers. For an exotic night out, consider a jacuzzi limousine offered by a small number of companies. Jacuzzi limos come equipped with a hot tub on the inside. The biggest potential problem with this type of vehicle is that the water may spill over.
- Search online or in the phone book for limo companies in your area. Plug in the type of limo you want and the date you plan to rent it. You will receive a rate quote. Look to make sure that the quote listed gives you the full price as many limo companies will list “add-on” charges in fine print.
- Call around to different companies to gather a rate quote. Phone the company directly. Inform them of the type of vehicle you want, the date you want it for, where it's going and how many people you want the vehicle to carry.
- Book limo driver. Hire the limo after you have received all the information you need about price, vehicle type and availability. Confirm that the type of limo you will get is the exact one you want. Some companies will try and sell you one kind and end up at your door with another. Enjoy your event once your research and booking is in order.
