How to Improve Your Shuttle Business

If you own a shuttle business, you need to be on your toes, so-to-speak when it comes to growing your business. Shuttle businesses are highly competitive, so you have to stand out from the crowd, otherwise, you will be lost in the sea of businesses just like yours. Marketing and customers satisfaction are the two top areas that you can improve.

  1. Develop
training programs for all employees. You depend on your employees to
arrive at their destination and offer friendly service. You need to
spend money making sure they your employees are representing your
company in its best light. After all, to customers, the shuttle
driver is your company. In addition, your drivers should be
professionally dressed in uniforms, such as a polo shirt, and
slacks. Uniforms should always be pressed and neat before the start
    of a shift.

  2. Keep
a customer satisfaction log by providing short surveys on the back
of every seat in your shuttle bus. Give the customer the option to
fill it out and leave it or mail it to the company headquarters
postage paid. The survey should cover driver friendliness, on-time
status, cleanliness of the inside and outside of the shuttle, and
the driver's skills. In addition, ask questions such as how
comfortable the temperature in the bus was and seat comfort.

  3. Collect
these surveys and use them as a way to see where you can improve
your shuttle service. The more you improve your service, the better
your chances of gaining new clients and standing out as a contender
    in the shuttle service business.

  4. Advertise
your shuttle business in the yellow pages. Use mail-outs every few
months to target areas of your city where people are most likely to
use a shuttle service. Offer discounts for using your service
    regularly.
