How to Install a Bar/Prep Sink

A bar and/or prep sink is a great addition to any home design. This design creates an additional area for you to entertain guests that is open and not confined to the kitchen. This type of design also increases the overall value of your home, as it is a fixture included in most high-end home constructions.

How to Install a Bar/Prep Sink:

Step 1: Determine the dimensions for the bar and/or prep sink. Mark off these dimensions on your countertops.

Step 2: Drill holes into the corners of the marked area using a drill with a paddle bit.

Step 3: Cut between each of these corners using a jigsaw. Follow the marked areas exactly as they are drawn.

Step 4: Apply plumber's putty around the entire bottom of the drain flange. Install the drain flange into the sink.

Step 5: Install the gaskets onto the drain stem. Install the cover over the drain stem.

Step 6: Tighten the locking ring onto the drain assembly securely.

Step 7: Apply plumber's putty around the entire bottom of the faucet flange. Install the faucet flange into the sink.
