You will need a kitchen sink, faucet, plumber's putty, sink mounting clips, screwdriver, faucet lines, and a p-trap pipe.
Measure the opening for the kitchen sink before you purchase the new kitchen sink. The measurement should be done accurately to ensure you purchase the correct size and shape.
Make sure you turn off the water supply before installing the sink. Turn the new sink over onto the countertop. Install the strainer and faucet onto the new sink before you place it in the countertop opening. This step prevents you from having to install the strainer and faucet from under the sink.
Apply the plumber's putty. The plumber's putty should go around the edges underneath the new kitchen sink. This step will create a seal to prevent water from leaking through.
Turn the sink over and place it in the countertop opening. Press down on the edges to seal the kitchen sink to the countertop.
Use a screwdriver to attach the sink mounting clips to the sink. Place the p-trap pipe and faucet lines to the cold side and the hot side. Turn on the water supply and run water through the pipes.
