How to Join Netflix
Joining Netflix allows you to access hundreds of movies from your computer or other media device. You can watch a variety of titles instantly and request others to be sent to your home through postal mail. Netflix members can add the DVDs they want to watch to their private queue. Joining Netflix is an extremely easy process.
- Visit the Netflix website. Click on the "Not A Member" link.
- Enter your email address into the first two boxes. The second box asks for a password. Enter the password of your choice. Be sure it is something you can remember. Once you have entered this information, click the continue button.
- Click on the type of payment method you wish to use to pay for your Netflix membership. Type your name and credit or debit card number into the appropriate boxes. Enter your credit or debit card's expiration date and your birth date in the next set of boxes. Click the "Start Membership" button to submit your payment information.
- Check your email for an email from Netflix that confirms your payment and account. Click the link in the email to go to your Netflix account page.
- Type the name of the movie you want to watch in the search box at the top of the Netflix website. A list of movies with the title you searched for is displayed. Click on the correct movie. If the movie is available to watch instantly a "Watch Instantly" button appears underneath the picture of the movie. If the movie is not able to be watched instantly, an "Add to Queue" button appears under the picture. Movies that are able to be watched instantly can be added to your queue as well.
- Click on the "Watch Instantly" button to watch the movie on your computer or TV. A screen appears that displays several buttons. Click on the "Play" button to begin watching the movie.
- Click on the "Add to Queue" button to add the movie to a list of DVD's you receive in the mail. You receive the movie that is at the top of your queue first. You can change the order of the movies in your queue by clicking on the name of a movie and dragging it to another position on your queue. With a basic membership, you can receive one movie at a time. When you send one movie back you get the next one in line in your queue in three to four days.
