How to Juice Lettuce

Lettuce is a vegetable that has many nutrients such as iron, calcium and vitamin C depending on which variety you choose. Romaine and butterhead lettuce are the best choices for nutrients, especially when making juice. The juice can be combined with other vegetables such as carrots and spinach for added taste.

How to Juice Lettuce

1. Choose a head of lettuce that is crisp with green leaves. The greener the leaves are, the more vitamins the lettuce will have.

2. Wash the head of lettuce thoroughly under cool water. Shake off the excess water.

3. Remove any parts of the lettuce that has insect holes or brown spots. You want to remove anything that you would not want in your juice or juicer.

4. Cut the lettuce into pieces that will fit into the chute of the juicer. Remove the core from the head of lettuce to avoid damage to your juicer.

5. Turn on the juicer. Feed the pieces into the chute of the juicer. Continue to feed the pieces of lettuce into the juicer until you have the amount of juice you want.

6. Pour the juice into a glass.
