How to Lace Leggings

Lace leggings worn by women paired with a fashion top can make an outfit look hip and stylish since leggings show the curves of a woman. Lacing leggings allow you to feel more confident in knowing that you laced them together properly. Lace leggings by using the shoe lacing method.

1. Start at either end and insert the right lace into the left grommet and the left lace into the right grommet. Think about lacing your shoes when lacing the leggings.


2. Pull both ends of the lace tight after putting them through the next pair of grommets. Make sure that the lace remains straight since it can look awkward if crooked.


3. Cross the laces before putting each end of the lace in the grommet. Insert the right lace into the left grommet and the left lace in the right grommet. Repeat threading the laces until you reach the end of the laces. Keep each lace straight each time to avoid looking as if you rushed to laced the leggings. Tie the laces in a bow when you get to the end.


4. Turn a pair of military leggings on the opposite side and place on a table. Tie an overhand knot at one end of the laces. Insert the lace through the grommet on the opposite side. Make sure the knot remains on the inside to avoid having it shown on the outside of the leggings.


5. Thread the lace through each grommet and make sure that you lace on the outside instead of the inside. Start from the bottom of the legging and work your way up. Make sure that the laces remain straight. Use your fingers to straighten them out or you may have to start over. Keep working your way up. Tuck the end of the lace under the top of the legging and thread it through the top of the grommet on the left or right side.
