How to Locate Oxford Health Plan Doctors and Facilities
It is important with any health plan that you visit doctors and facilities that are covered by your health plan. Otherwise, you face expensive out-of-network fees or your claim may be denied altogether. Oxford Health Plan users have a convenient way to locate providers that are covered under their plan.
- Sign into the Oxford Health Plan website. If you haven't set up your information on the Oxford Health Plan website yet, all you need to do is fill in your membership identification number, your name, your date of birth and your primary email address in the registration area. After you have registered, you can log in any time you like to search for providers and services offered by the Oxford Health Plan.
- Click the link labeled "Tools & Resources" at the top of the screen.
- Search by location, doctor's name, provider's name or type of service. You can search for hospitals, facilities or pharmacies as well. If you do not know the doctor's name, you can search by condition or type of service needed as well. All of the results provided indicate contact information for the doctor or facility as well as other information you may need to know about the services provided at that location.
- Pay particular attention to the "Additional Details" section. This area gives you information about whether the provider or facility only takes certain Oxford Health Plans or whether any of the plans qualify. If you have specific questions for the provider, use the contact information provided to inquire further.
