How to Make High School Graduation Party Invitations
Graduating high school is a very momentous occasion for a teenager. Many teens have a party to celebrate this time in life. Choosing to make the invitations by hand can save the family money that can be spent on other parts of the graduation festivities.
- Choose the theme for the graduation. If there is a certain color scheme that will be used for the graduation, such as school colors, then the invitations should match those colors. If there will be a theme used for the graduation, then these ideas can be incorporated in the invitations as well. For instance, if choosing a "then and now" theme, the invitations can include a photo from kindergarten and then the graduation photo.
- Choose the paper for the invitations. This can be craft paper or heavyweight computer paper. Cut the paper in half, making two separate pieces. Next, fold it in half in the shape of a card.
- Incorporate the photos in the invitations. Take the photos and mount them in the middle of the front of the card. If two photos will be used, mount one toward the top upper-right corner and the other toward the bottom lower-left corner.
- Write a caption underneath the photos. Ideas include "Introducing the graduate" or "Join us in celebrating this special day." If a theme was selected for the graduation party, then this can also be listed underneath the photo.
- Personalize the invitation. Include a message, poem, quote or Bible verse on the inside right of the invitation.
- Include pertinent information. Underneath the personalization message include the date, time and location of the graduation party. Additional information can be included such as directions or any entertainment that will be provided.
