How to Make Nail Polish

You can find nail polish in different shades and colors. Sometimes it is hard to find the color you are looking for. You can create almost any color by experimenting with clear nail polish and eyeshadow. This will be helpful when trying to match your nails to an evening gown or uncommon colored piece of clothing.

How to Make Nail Polish

1. Create a funnel. Snip one corner of an envelope to make a funnel. Cut the opposite side of the envelope to add contents to the funnel.


2. Choose your desired color of eyeshadow. Place the eyeshadow in a baggie and crush it into a fine powder using a spoon. You will need 1 teaspoon of eyeshadow for the nail polish. Depending on your style, you can add add 1/3 teaspoon of glitter to the eyeshadow.


3. Open a bottle of clear nail polish. Remove the brush and place it to the side.


4. Place the funnel into the bottle of nail polish.


5. Pour the eyeshadow and glitter into the clear bottle of nail polish via the funnel.


6. Close the bottle of nail polish. Shake the bottle for two minutes.


7. Test the nail polish color on your nail. Add more eyeshadow if needed, to reach the desired color.
