How to Make Reservations at a Motel
Staying at a motel can be relaxing and enjoyable. Many motels offer comfortable beds, movie channels, free breakfast, a swimming pool and a hot tub. Before staying at a motel, it is best to make reservations. This guarantees you will be able to get a room at the facility. Many motels allow you to make reservations online or by phone.
Making Reservations Online
Go to the website of the motel where you wish to stay. If you do not know the name or website of the motel, you can use a reliable search engine to find it. You can also search the communities of MerchantCircle for motels in your area.
On the main page of the motel’s website, there will be a button or tab that will allow you to make a reservation online. Click on this button or tab.
A new screen will appear. You will need to type in the required information. You will be asked how many nights you want to stay, how many people will be staying and if you have any special accommodations.
Once the basic information has been entered, you will need to enter your credit card information to hold the room for you until you check in. Your credit card is usually not charged until you check-in or check-out of the motel. Be sure to read the fine print because some motels will charge you credit card if you fail to cancel your reservation.
When you have submitted all of the required information, you should be given a confirmation number. Write this number down.
You should get an email in less than 20 minutes, confirming your online reservation with the confirmation number.
Print this email and take it with you when you check in at the motel.
Making Reservations by Phone
Call the motel where you would like to stay. You can also call the motel’s main toll free number.
A motel representative will answer the phone.
Tell the representative that you would like to make reservations to stay at a motel.
The representative will ask you some general questions about where you want to stay, how many days you will be staying and how many people will be in your party.
After you have answered all of the questions, the representative will ask you for your credit card information.
The representative will also give you a confirmation number and may ask if you’d like your confirmation emailed to you.
You should bring the confirmation email or number with you when you check-in.
