How to Make Scene Hair Accessories

The term "scene" is described as an urban term for those who tend to be emo as well as confident, loud and often like to wear bright colors and unique hair accessories. Scene hair accessories can be a combination of just about any color, but are often black, purple or other dark colors. While scene hair accessories can be purchased at many stores, you can also make your very own from home.

You will need:

  • Ribbon

  • Alligator clips

  • Super glue

  • Small flowers

  • Feathers

  • Plain black headband

  • Small pearl beads

Directions

Quick Scene Clips

  1. Start off with an alligator clip. Take some ribbon and measure the ribbon so that it is the exact length of the top of the alligator clip. Cut the ribbon.

  2. Paste a thin layer of super glue to the alligator clip and quickly place the cut piece of ribbon onto the glue. Press gently so that the ribbon will stick to the super glue and the alligator clip.

  3. Allow the ribbon to dry on the alligator clip for a few minutes.

  4. Dab very small drops onto the ribbon after it has dried onto the alligator clip.

  5. Quickly place your small pearl beads onto the ribbon. You can use as many as you want. Once you have put your pearl beads into place, set the alligator clip aside and allow the finished piece to dry. Once it has dried, you can clip it onto the side of your hair for a fashionable scene look. You can continue this process with several different colors of ribbon and different bead styles.

Scene Style Headband

  1. Take a plain black headband and paste a small dab of superglue on one of the top sides of the headband.

  2. Place one of your small flowers onto the dab of glue and allow the flower to dry on the headband.

  3. Add feathers and small pearl beads to the sides of the headband using superglue to hold them in place. You can use as many or as little feathers and beads as you would like.

  4. Be as unique as possible when creating your scene hair headband. Scene accessories are all about feathers, bows, ribbons and beautiful beads.
