How to Make Your Own Beauty Supplies

Most of us just walk into a drug store or department store and purchase our cosmetics and beauty supplies. Maybe you should consider learning how to make your own beauty supplies. Making your own is fun, you will save money and enjoy the fact that many are all natural. Try experimenting and make your own mascara, eyeshadow, facial toner or skin cleanser.

Mascara

Mix dark colored mineral powders into a little aloe vera or you can substitute a dark eyeshadow for mineral powers. Blend it well and apply with a new eyelash brush.

Eyeshadow

Create a base makeup formula to make eyeshadow as well as lipgloss or blush. To make the formula, mix together equal portions of Bordeaux Mica and red Mica with one half portion of gold Mica. Mix it well and you have a beautiful shimmering powder that is perfect for eyeshadow or blush. Adding just a touch of Vaseline makes a great lip balm or lipgloss.

Facial Toner

Make your own refreshing facial cleanse that works wonders on your pores and skin. Mix witch hazel or vinegar with equal portions of clay, beeswax or dried herbs, which are pore-refining ingredients. Add your choice of zesty, refreshing herbs including lemon balm, peppermint, lavender, rosemary, lemon or mint.

Skin Cleanser

Exfoliate your skin with an inexpensive mix you can whip up right in your kitchen. All portions are mixed in equal parts except toxin removers. Choose from a base ingredient of oatmeal, mild clay, salt or sugar. Select any moisturizer including milk, egg yolk, avocado, honey, vitamin E oil or olive oil. Stir the moisturizer into your base ingredient and add less than one portion of witch hazel or cider vinegar to help remove toxins from the skin.
