How to Make Your Own Beauty Treatments
Beauty care is becoming an enormous industry due to improvements made in science and technology to control common skin problems and aging. However, beauty care treatments can be extremely expensive and may have ingredients that are not organic or sufficiently tested. If you want to give yourself beauty treatments that are inexpensive and have all natural ingredients, why not make your own? There are many easy beauty treatments that you can make in your kitchen.
- Create your own face mask out of oatmeal and yogurt. Mix one cup of plain yogurt with a half cup of uncooked oatmeal and a teaspoon of honey. Combine until well blended, and then apply the mixture to your face. Allow the mask to dry for 10 to 20 minutes before washing it off with warm water.
- Reduce eye puffiness with cucumber slices or chamomile tea bags. Thinly slice a cucumber and chill the slices or make some tea for two and then chill the tea bags. When they feel cold, place either de-puffer on your eyes for 10 minutes and relax.
- Design a scrub to slough off dead skin. Stir together a half cup of brown sugar with a half cup of either grape seed oil or olive oil. Add a few drops of vanilla extract to give it a sweet smell and then scrub away!
- Add some moisture to your hair with your own homemade conditioner. Mash one avocado and two tablespoons of honey together and then rub the mixture into your hair. Leave it on for 20 to 30 minutes before rinsing it out and following with your normal hair care routine.
- Strengthen nails with vegetable oil. Combine two teaspoons vegetable oil, two teaspoons salt and one teaspoon wheat germ oil in a sealable bottle. Shake the bottle and rub the mixture onto your nails. Allow it to soak in for three to five minutes before wiping off.
- Tighten skin with a lemon and egg white mask. Strain half a lemon and combine the juice with an egg white by beating for three minutes. Apply the mask to your face and let it dry for 30 minutes before rinsing your face with warm water.
