How to Make Your Own Cupcake Picks
Cupcakes are a party time favorite. There is not a better way to dress up your cupcakes then with a homemade topper. You have the freedom to be creative and save money by creating your own picks. Gather some old decorations and choose a color scheme to begin this fun and easy craft.
- Completing this fun craft requires some tools. You need rubber stamps, ink, craft glue, beads and plenty of toothpicks. You also need two stickers-two for each cupcake.
- Use the stamps to create a design for each side of the stickers. Depending on the theme you are going for, you can create the same design or choose many different designs. To make the cupcakes even more personal- simply write the guests name on the sticker. This will make each guest feel special and appreciated. Make sure to design plenty of stickers for the amount of cupcakes you are making,
- Peel one of the stickers off and press the toothpaste into the center of the sticker. Repeat this process with the second sticker. Make sure the design you created is facing the right direction.
- Shopping for decorations. Some decorators may be at a loss when it comes to finding decorations to complete this fun craft. However, shopping for these decorations can be fun. Check a local scrap-booking store or be creative with greeting cards and already made stickers. Decorate the post of the toothpick with beads or any other fun decoration. Make sure to leave enough room on the bottom of the toothpick, so you can still stick it in the cupcake.
