How to Make a Book
Making a book will involve a lot of work and many hours. There are many aspects to book writing that most people probably don't realize. Making a book won't take many tools, but it will take a lot of patience.
Things You'll Need:
- Pencil
- Notebook
- Word Processor
- Printer
- Thumb drive
- Research the topic or topics you want to write about. There should be many reference sites online and books in libraries on any subject you want to write about. Thoroughly research the topics even if you feel you're an expert. There is probably something new you'll learn about no matter how much information you already know about your subjects.
- Write down the interesting facts you learn in a notebook to use as a reference guide. This will help you write the book more efficiently because you'll have a nice reference guide full of facts at your fingertips. Taking all the books from the library home and printing all the articles you find online will just make a lot of clutter and harder for you to find the interesting facts again.
- Start writing the actual book on a word processor. Microsoft Word is a popular program that should come standard on most computers. Make sure you save your work on a regular basis just in case you have computer issues. Consider saving your work on a thumb drive just in case the entire computer crashes. The thumb drive also makes it easier to take your work to any computer.
- Print the book out when it's finished and send it to a publishing company. They will be able to help you make an actual book cover and everything else you need to get the book published.
