How to Make a Free Preschool Banner
Preschool banners are commonly used in the classrooms to identify the different work areas. Sometimes these work areas are referred to as learning centers or activity centers. Banners that are already made prove to be too expensive, therefore making the banners for preschool settings can be less expensive and fun to make. A wide variety of the banners can be made using names and or subjects and are readily available
- Open the photo editing software on your computer. Create a new image file and select the “Banner” template. If there is no banner template, choose a landscape page setup.
- Pick the font and text size for the message on the banner. This can be made large enough to fit into the banner, make sure the selection box is dragged to avoid a warped or odd appearance on the corners so that the image will be clear and easy to view without any unusual imaging that is not desired.
- Choose a cute phrase for the banner. You can simply put the schools name or if you are using the banner for specific work areas, choose something like “Learn About The Weather,” “What is Today?” and “Look at My Pictures!”
- Select a theme that could go with the working centers in the preschool classroom setting, it could be about the seasons, numbers and counting, the alphabet, animals or holidays. These themes would be very appropriate in a preschool classroom setting.
- Add pictures that go with theme. For example, for the calendar work area, you could add pictures for each season.
- Print the banner in the printer by putting the banner paper in it. Click on to the “File” and then “Print.” Make sure to enter the paper size, type all of this information into the printer properties box.
- Save the file, so that making additional banners when ever the need for them arises can be made without having always set up this information each time a banner is made. Using bright colors is an added extra special touch.
