How to Make a Gift Certificate Using Photoshop
Whether you have your own business, or wish to create gift certificates as a personal present to a loved one, you can use Adobe Photoshop to complete this type of project. Take the time to first think about how you want the certificate to look.
- Open a new project under the Photoshop program. In order to do this, simply click on “New” after you have launched the program from your computer.
- Determine the size you want to use for the gift certificate. If you want to create a gift certificate that is the size of a standard piece of paper, choose 8.5-by-11 inches as your dimensions when you are prompted by the dialogue box. If you wish to have a smaller size, enter the dimensions you want.
- Find the picture you wish to use as your certificate image. You can either look at the pictures you already have, create your own or download the picture from a location online. If you choose a picture from the Internet, make sure to save it to your computer before planning to work with it.
- Select “File” from the menu at the top of the program and select “Place.” This will allow you to find the picture that you wish to use as your certificate and open it so that you can make any necessary modifications.
- Modify the image in any way you wish so that you have your logo, name or any other information you want to make specific to your business or purpose.
- Print the gift certificate on the paper you wish to use. Instead of using normal printing paper, consider a thicker grade of paper when printing.
