How to Make a Hand Spa Treatment

The condition of your hands and nails are very important, especially if you work with the public. Hand spa treatments improve the circulation in your hands, which is very beneficial to nail growth. Use this once or twice a week for strong, healthy nails.

Ingredients

  • 10 strawberries

  • 2 tablespoons apricot or almond oil

  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

This recipe can be doubled or tripled if needed. Simply store in a container of your choice until needed.

Instructions

  1. Mix ingredients above into a paste. For easiest use, store in a bowl with a lid.

  2. Trim and file fingernails.

  3. Remove any old nail polish.

  4. Soak hands in a bowl with warm to hot water. Use a bowl large enough for both hands, and add the hand soak of your choice. Soak for about ten minutes.

  5. Remove hands from the water and push back your cuticles. You can also use cuticle remover first, if needed.

  6. Rinse hands in the warm, soapy water left in your bowl. Towel dry.

  7. Scoop out your hand exfoliator from the bowl. Massage thoroughly into both hands. Don't forget to scrub around your nails. Doing this will increase circulation and nail growth. It also helps your body to make stronger nails.

  8. Rinse hands thoroughly when done. Towel dry.

  9. Rub lotion into your hands and allow to dry.

  10. If you want to paint your fingernails, make sure to use a cotton ball soaked with nail polish remover first. Simply run this across each nail to remove the lotion. Lotion contains oil that interferes with the polish going on smoothly.

  11. Use this treatment once to twice a week for best results.
